France Seeks Partnership with Nigeria On Tackling Illegal Migration, Trafficking

Christophe Leonzi, France ambassador for migration at the ministry of Europe and foreign affairs, has solicited partnership with Nigeria to tackle illegal migration and human trafficking.

In a courtesy visit to the minister of interior in Abuja, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. He said Nigeria and France already have a relationship, adding that it is crucial to strengthen the existing partnership.

The Migration Advisory Committee has proposed that the United Kingdom’s Graduate route visa’s two-year- validity should be maintained.

It, however, proposed an extension for PhD holders – recommending three years.

The committee insisted that it found no significant abuse of the Graduate route but raised concerns about recruitment agents misleading international students.
